Rev limitors on 575 sci's

Is it bad for the motors if at WOT (5300rpm) the limitors trigger? I was trying to trim the boat to get maximum performance. What are the short/long term effects to the motors?

Premier, I just picked up a (new) leftover 382...

Premier, I just picked up a (new) leftover 382 w/575sci's and was told that my top end speed will be approx 85mph. I haven't dropped it in the water yet... I can't wait!

From what i understand they now are standard on the 600sci's...

To be honest with you, i have no idea where they are going to mount it.. i have to pick out the correct one, so i'm not replacing...
