Check exaust gas temps to find out where the carb jetting needs to be. It is an excellent

Watch the tach closely and see if it drops or jerks quickly. ...that would indicate
a short in the wiring. Check your other gauges that are electical for the same.

Then check fuel floats...

oil are you running and do you run any type oil thermostat? What brand oil pump
