I may be wrong but would an ASD/6 be up to the job,with the 300 yanmar yes,but the 6ly yanmar or cummins are a different animal altogether,was always under the impression these high torque motors...

Hi gassdave,the primer i used is just a standard 2k high build epoxy that i purchased from the automotive shop,I shotbast and paint plant and machinery as a day job and enjoy tinkering with boats...

Make sure it runs 3400 rpm as an absolute minimum at wot,look for discolouring around turbo,this is usually an indication that the engines are overpropped,that is about the only thing that will kill...

I have just finished spraying my hull with 2k epoxy primer,unfortunately i did not have a filter on my suction fed gun,question is i need to sand/flatten out small lumps of dirt,i was using 800 grit...

would a horizontal fin not create a lot of drag? very difficult to get any bow lift from a surface prop due to the fact that its only half in the water;hence cant get enough grip,or leverage to lift...

Hi guys, need 250rpm to reach my maximum WOT. My question is should I remove 1 inch of pitch, or should I have some cupping taken off the prop?.

That correct ajay,same boat,was fitted with surface drives,lancing marine,cant remember the engines that were fitted, but i do know they only produced 165 hp each at 2400 rpm barely enough to put it...
