i have a mpi 454 mercruiser.(efi component about 96model VST, MEFI1,..brand new 454 long motor, standard)
what controlls max rpm?
EFI box says max rpm 4000-47000.
i'm flat out getting 4000 loaded...

i have a 454 mercruiser and had a pinhole leak in my watercooled exhaust manifold (cast iron jobs)
water got into the cylinders through the exhaust valves and turned the oil milky...
