Also did you notice that Mercury removes the small tensioning spring on the valve seal for the exhuast valves. This will allow a little more oil for lube and cooling.

You may want to adjust the water pickup depth a little. I have hydrocools and the pickup depth made a difference in cooling effectiveness judged by the amount of calcium build up.

Cap and rotors are new and the wires are spiral wound heli coil 8.5 MM for marine aplication from MSD, probably identical to what you have on yours. The spiral wound element is a non carbon conductor...

Slider just do what I did. Go through every part of that boat and redo or rerig all of the halfway done or shoddy workmanship and then you'll have a boat that you will start to like.

Pump styles usually draw raw water and if that is the case you will have a raw water valve and shutoff usually just forward of the engine. You may have two valves if you have water cycle A/C.

Get yourself a new anodized color coded hub that is slightly longer than stock with the dino bolt pattern for about 50 bucks. The wheel will be further back so you can stand straight up a the helm....
