I bought a Lowrance HDS5 Lake Insight. What an awesome unit for the money. Great mapping and detail. I have a 280 Silencer and boat primarily on the great lakes, this unit was worth every penny.

I have a 2000 280 with a 502 Mag MPI, Running a B-blades lab finished 26P Bravo, four blade. Gets out decent, cruises at 50 MPH at around 3900 rpm. I have seen 67.8 on GPS with 3 people and 5/8...
