Running a header with out or with low water VOLUME is bad news, as it causes excessive expansion and contraction with in the header.....something typically has to give and will crack.

With the incorrect amount of testing pressure and improper preparation, as in carbon removal on the inside of the header (where one should be most concerned of a leak) you can keep doing it yourself...

Thirdchildhood; Although you may feel this is a good way to test, I would highly suggest sending them back to the factory as they have the correct equipment and process to test them to OEM...
