It's not really exterior wood...it's going to be...

It's not really exterior wood...it's going to be wrapped in fiberglass. It is where the hinge for the engine cover mounts too. It looks like the screws were not sealed when put in so the water got in...

Picked up 2, 2x4x8's of fir yesterday...can't...

Picked up 2, 2x4x8's of fir yesterday...can't imagine building a house with these, they were 12.50 a piece.

Replacing the wood in the outer frame of my engine cover. It is approximately 1"x.5" ....any suggestions on species of wood to use? It will be glassed in place and covered. The hinge for the hatch...
