All I'm saying is that at 25 hour intervals for changes and 14 quart pans, conventional oil is good enough for me. ;) I've had good luck for the last 22 years that I've owned a boat.

Eggzackly!! I use conventional oil as well. IMHO...it's a waste of $$$ to use synthetic if you are going to change it every 25 hours.
