The blowers would work great for small blocks. Probably too much carb.

Yes, too small. Carb size really has nothing to do with it. Besides that, a 1050 is stock on a 525sc which is 454ci. You would have spin the 177 at its max rpm--about 13000, just to make maybe 5lbs...

The 525SC blowers are way too small for 540ci engines. They'll fit, but they are too small.
