The 312 includes the platform and is 31'2". My 28 Pantera was 30'1" with the platform, so only a foot difference in LOA. The 312 had a little more room in the cockpit. The V berth was actually bigger...

Never been in a 292 cabin, but looked at a few 312's. The cabin in the 312 was about the same size as my 28 Pantera.

Never actually been in a PP, but looking at pics...

Never actually been in a PP, but looking at pics the freeboard is very close. PP rigging is also known to be very good.
