less friction=hp as you already know but if the engine oil is doing its job the coating shouldn't make a difference in that aspect.The main reason I coated my pistons was to try to keep the skirts...

I did the pistons,cylinder heads and valves on my blown 540,I have it out of the boat to freshen it but haven't had time to tear it down to see if it did much or not yet,in a few months I'll post...
