With the big bore possible with a Merlin or Dart block you can get about 520 cubic inches. Should be good for a few more hp. Leave room for an over bore, never know when you might need it.

I would go to see it for myself. Is it a visible bulge or something he measured. Unfortuately he has a lot of incentive to tell you the blocks are junk. He sells you new ones and gets to keep the old...
