I do enjoy playing around with them but I have to be honest it is getting old,,,,but a 38 Fountain...

water is high,,lakes are shut down to boat traffic but I lowered at the ramp for a shake down run,,so far so good..

I know what you mean about the reverse slash cut on the gibsons,,if anything I thought the gibsons might be a issue when getting boat off...

any concerns you think I should have???,,the tips have the internal water shutters/flappers,,and turn downs clear steering in all trim...

Yes Diesel tips,,,was able to get all 4 shipped for $200.00,,,Gibsons are about $600.00 per engine,,,dont see why this would not work,,there nice stainless tips,,,
