There was a boost-actuated diaphragm regulator that went in the injection return line. As the boost came up, it restricted the return flow.

You'll want to talk to someone who knows something...

It was a 5.8 FSi (injected). Never got a chance to run it under boost.

I put a complete Vortech kit on Volvo 5.8 (Ford). Just as I got it done, I stopped using the boat. I took everything off, and sold the boat stock.

Still have the blower, pulleys, fuel pressure...
