DPX-A. Same internals, just different cases/castings. The A uses a one-piece upper/intermediate, while the R has separate upper and intermediate castings. Lower units are essentially the same.

No sweat. Gear ratio is determined by the lower unit. If you need something, let me know. I have a set of E3 props, a transom assembly, two DPX-R 1.59's and a DPX-A Upper that I don't really need....
