I don't know the guy but I do have a hard time believing that it would run mid 80's with 502 mags. That is right where my boat runs with HP500EFI's.Are they stock?
But we'll have to wait for this...

heavy load and hot flat water 5000 r.p.m.
3/4 tank of fuel and cool (mid to high 50's day I took it out), Me and the wife 5400...
