IMO all 14" trailer tires are a crap shoot. I was lucky enough to have enough clearance to be able to change to 15" wheels and tires. The only thing I would do different is buy Maxxis tires instead...

I use Lime Away on the tips. It seems to work...

I use Lime Away on the tips. It seems to work pretty good. I also try to keep a coat of wax on them which helps.
