You probably are not dropping to 3.5" vacuum at full throttle.If this is the case be careful because you will be leaning it out.As mentioned above hook up a vacuum gauge and do some runs.

They are small.I had a 454 that cold cranked at 180 psi.with a 224/230 cam installed at 106 atdc.Be carful with these heads on a carb motor as they will detonate really easy.Use about 28* total...

Monitoring oil consumption over 50 hours.I never run my oil that long.25 hours is a number I like.Oil is real cheap in comparison to all the broken parts we all have scatered around our garages.

.625 lift sounds a bit much on the stock lifters.I'm curious if you have run it and with what cam.I'd be a bit nervous of the lifter going that far down in the guide plate.I know there is a bit more...

Be careful with the name brand American made stands,hoists,jacks,ect.such as OTC Blackhawck Lincoln as many of these manufactures are selling imports to compete.Most people won't buy a 1000 buck...
