Does yours have the drain valves(air bleed system) ? These can leak at higher pressure. I never had a problem with mine on a 2002. Others reported water in the bilge after a spirited run.

Most stock marine engines do not run an 02 sensor. The water kills them fast. Nothing wrong with running in open loop (no 02 correction) if tune is good.
