That ignition is very releiable, plus it has a knock system built into it. The plug your refering to is the oil pump drive shaft, if you take it out the bottom looks just like a distributer. You can...

350 cid are internally balanced, 400 small blocks are externally balanced. That still doesn't mean that you don't have the wrong or bad balancer/flywheel even though new???

That in most cases won't cause a vibration like your speaking of, check to see if your Harmonic Balancer has spun. I have seen this happen a few times and that will create a nasty vibration...

Check your connections at the ECM, have seen this problem accouple times. When your out at the lake next time, at idle open your hatch and wiggle the connections and watch to see if your tach bounces.

Agreed most likely just a gauge difference. If your that concerned try swapping sender wires on the gauges see what it reads.

They are called reverse lockout valves, if the trim is up it won't shift into reverse??? I have bypassed them in the past with good success when found leaking. Part has been discontinued from Merc.

Most likely not but you need the lock clip in place or the u-joint may come apart which won't do your bellows or yokes any favors... :eek:

Probably should have just installed a new one from the get go, if one of the caps won't lock you might have slighly bent one of the yokes during disassembly/assembly process or one of the many...
