Get a boat that does well based on how you use it. If 33ft works fine then stay there, I think 28-33 is a good length for fast lake boat. A 38-40ft boat might be a bit boring to drive and are better...

I hate it when bilge vents are mounted below the rub rail. Not saying it caused the sink, but doesn't help when it starts to go down.
