Those are ll the raw cutouts from the center holes. Transom plate side holes are 1" shorter. Nothing cut to length in that pic. But did get few of them done today.

I really like that Schmidt coupler. Don't believe I've ever seen one in action before. Then again, maybe saw one as a steering coupler on a streetrod some years back. Very interesting design however....

#1 rule that comes into play is the flange angles on each end of driveshaft must be within 1deg of each other. If not ya get vibrations. That rule can only be broken by using a double cardan shaft....
