Remembering Doug
 

This Sunday will mark 4 years since Doug Lewis had moved on to the big race course in the sky. He has recently become reacquainted with Al Copeland and Rocky Aoki as well as a few others with their unfortunate passings.

This weekend may I ask you all to take a moment to think of Doug. He was one of my inspirations in offshore racing and I will never forget him...

Never Forgotten!!! The picture of Doug, Pat, Bud, and Myself hangs on my wall still to this day. Anyone who was a friend of Doug's was truely blessed.

It was a week ago of the 5th Anniversay.

Did I forget ? Hell no.

Somehow on the day of, I found myself driving to one of Doug's favorite places. SKATER POWERBOATS FACTORY.

It was my 1st time to the factory.

After a full access photo shoot of the plant, I went to lunch with Peter and others and had some small talk remembering Doug that day....

You never forget the one's that taught you the most... :drink:
