Were helmets optional for the Race??

No. These guys had some problems when they started so they turned around and stayed close to the start/finish boat. Had a little fun for a while!!

Those images were taken after they elected to take themselves out of the race. They had an engine issue bad enough that they did not want to chance being too far offshore.

He specifically was doing passes for me in order to get some pics of his boat in the air. Mission accomplished.... :drink:
