Default Found a nice video camera for boats

Thouight I would share this nice video camera idea for boats. GoPro digital camera. Mounted on the deck and is self contained with 2GB chip and two AAA batteries it will take 1400 pictures every 5 seconds or 56 minutes of video. Looked Ok even on a 50" TV. Even has sound. All for only $179 list.
I was testing for a few minutes on my Skater on the video.

GoPro is updating their site. But here is the catalog showing the camera and options. They work great, come with the mount and waterproof case. Good to 100' below for diving too!

I am pulling together complete packages with camera, mount, 2GB cards and rechargable batteries. They dont last too long on the standard AAA.

They are 3 Mega pixel and the video is suprisingly good.

They will be posted in the "New Products" section later this week after I speak to them about package pricing.

It was mounted with a suction cup that is supposed to be good to 150 mph on race cars. It came with two side tape mounts also. The sound is there, I had it on low mode to keep the wind noise low which is the recommended setting for race car external mount. If it was mounted on the rear deck you would hear the engines very nicely. No external mic jack.

Kirks link did not work for me.
try this

Very cool car race sample video with great sound.

i had a different brand camera/video that used an SD memory card but i took it back cause you could hear the auto focus motor and the zoom motor made a slight noise on the video, is this setup free of that?

I'm placing an order for a dozen or two early this week. we had a good response at our boat club meeting so I have about 8 - 10 sold.

Let me know and one has your name on it. Pretty cool for under $ 200.00.
