Default OT: Mariah boats

not really a performance boat but they look kinda cool.

anyone ever owned one or know much about them?

We looked at them in 1997, then again in 1999, saw quite a few with blisters in the gel.

I remember someone on here said they dont hold up worth crap in rough water, something about the windshield center section falling through?

I met a guy at Lake george that had one and said it was a piece of junk , very poor quality, but that,s the only one guy

Fairly solid boat. I'm fairly sure they went out of business.

Saw a lot of brand new ones going at equipment auctions in the KY TN area. They were going for 5000 to 7000 under list (which takes out the markup and warranty issues - of course the entire powertrains were fully covered under Merc, as well as other sourced pieces).

I'd place them at Larson quality, a little less than Rinker.

they did go out of business in 2001 i think. they must have reorganised and opened up again making smaller boats.

They did go out of business. I think there was some talk of some other company buying the molds, but I haven't heard anything lately. It looks like the one that has been for sale at Big Thunder. If it is, that boat has been for sale for awhile. If the company is out of business, I would stay away. Who could you go through for warranty work or other problems?

My fiberglass guys told me that most of their warranty work was on Mariah boats.

I owned a Mariah 240Z W/ 454 MAG.. good inland lake boat .. the 24 was more like a 22... nice interiors... bought mine new... went back to the factory 4 times for spider cracks in the gel coat.... they fixed everything every time... the boat Always came back like factory new..... "lifetime hull warranty" but what good is it????
