Has anyone installed some kind of swim ladder on their Fountain? My parents have a 2000 model 35 Classic and they're having a hard time getting out of the water and into the boat. They bought a rope ladder thingy but it didn't work to well. Considering the scuba ladder that you see on a lot of Fountains but the cover will have to be modified to fit over the bracket. Are their any other options out there?

I have a Armstrong ladder on mine. I've seen them on several others as well. There is a small stailnell bracket that fits on the corner of the swim platform and a pole type ladder with step, it has two studs which slip into the bracket when in use, then you just remove it and store it in the boat.

look at the ladders they put on a Donzi nice and compact, i made a couple of aluminum spacers ( square tube 1inch aluminum from home depot backed with a aluminum angle. cut a 5 inch hole in the under side of swim platform so that i could put the pieces of angle up in the hole. prior to installing i measured and drilled the angle and square tube to match with the mounting holes on donzi ladder. and drilled the under side of platform to match. then i was able to reach up in hole drop stainless bolts with washers through and bolt it up tight. then i used a round access plate to cover hole you can purchase at west end marine are other marine stores they all have them. i paid around 350.00 for ladder from donzi a little pricey but looks like it belongs. i have had many fountain owner ask me about my ladder. i have two complaints one it gets a little dirt from exhaust ( not a big deal ) and at a idle it the exhaust vibrates its if you drop into silent choice it doesnt vibrate, actually it bothers the wife more than anything. before you go cutting the bottom of your plateform make sure youll have the space inbetween the top and bottom.
