S&H Chrome plating in Nashville,Tn has done many parts for me varying from race quad parts to wheels and other items from my show only Corvettes. Great work and quick turn around always.

Have a set of new Mercruiser valve covers, they look nice, Can they be chromed "more" or does the process have to take place at the same time.?

If I'm not mistaken, it all has to be done at the same time. I used Custom Chrome in Grafton, Ohio for quite a few projects, you had to specify "standard" or "show" chrome when dropping parts off.
Hope this helps.

Yes different layers and amount of layers affect the outcome and price. Also the prep and polish below the surface affect the mirror shine. Wheelchair parts are splashed in nickel and sent out the door vs some motorcycle or car show parts that can have 7 total layers of copper/nickel/chrome. Thats why when getting quotes you have to compare apples to apples.
