That boat has a great heritage, going all the way back to Don Aronow's Cigarette, which was a Cary 32.
Here is a shot of Jean Claude Simon drivng a 32 foot Cary ...Beep Beep. This is the boat that made Wayne Vickers famous.

My prev boat 312 Stinger -89 was a JC Simon design.
What other boats was hs design?
Thanks, and let us know when you have some news of your new line.

32 Cobra, designed by JC is the same as the 33 Powerplay... very diffrerent to the Coyote 34. The Coyote 38, owned by Claud Tubianna of Islamorada was the boat used to make the original big sonic mold in 79. The mold, while 38', used a dam to make the original 33's.... which is why the boats rid bow heavy.. there is a company in NJ called Avante that is building a 34 similar to the coyote if not the same hull... may even be the same mold.
Dan Weistien race a 34 Coyote called... Powerplay in the mid 80's. It was a great running boat.
The main difference between the 32 cary and the 32 cobra was the beam... Cobra was 10" narrower at the gw and 7.5" narrower at the chine.

That is the first I've ever heard of that. CC got the stinger patterns from excallibur. Farmers maybe? Not familiar with JC involved at CC though.. Gus Anastossi for sure though..

Iam think of a 33 Powerplay, does it handle water well??
In my original CC-Stinger broschyr 1988 its typed "Hulldesign by Jean Claude Simon"

check out this old thread of mine - lots of Cobra & Coyote pics as well as a little JC Simon history... Someone above said the coyote mold was created in 1979 - actually it was 1978 - Simon was commissioned by my father to design it.
