My HP 500 EFI Whipple motor made 903 ft/TQ and 839 HP
#1
Some of you have been asking why I don't finish my Thread in the Q & A section on my Hustler 500 EFI Whipple build up . So here's the info
I want to thank Mark Boos at Precision Marine in New Orleans La for all his help . He Dynoed them and did all the tuning on the MEF3 ECU's . I have run these motors all summer long and I didn't have to touch a thing!! With his programing we were able to go up to 10 lbs of boost. I think we made some pretty good #'s on 93 pump gas.
Here is one dyno sheet with it set at 10 psi with a 4 inch pulley. The port .30 over motor made 858hp and was stronger than the Starboard .60 over motor that had the power steering pump.I don't have the sheet on the port motor so I am going by the star dyno sheet for proof. Who knows why they are Different?
We did some steady state (holding it at 5700-5900 RPM) pulls on the Dyno at the 10 psi to see if it would set off the knock sensor and watching the temps to see if they were going to climb . Everything was good !! Even the air inlet temp stayed around 115-120. and we couldn't even get the Oil temp above 140 in all the pulls.
Check out the Torque #'s
Thanks
Rob

I also want to thank Dean at The Bravo Shop for help with the B-Max drives. There hanging in there
Here are the Dyno sheets with it set at 7 1/4 boost with the 4.5 pulley . This is the setting that I ran it at for 60 hours this summer before going to the 4 inch pulleys.
810 TQ at 4000 and 768 hp at 5900
808 TQ at 4100 and 779 hp at 6000
Again Check out how strong the Tourqe comes in. I would wait till about 4800 RPM before I would go WFO. I would just roll into the sticks trying to be easy on the drives.
