well this project took a little longer then I expected do to work issues but on sunday I finally got around toi paintiing the drives

used all of the procedures that have been discussed
Got a Sata Minijet 4 from Boating Bent on this forum

media blasted drives
oil and wax remover
alumiprep
alodine
ppg prime
ppg paint

had the ability to bring left over primer and paint and gun cleaning fluid to work for diposal
used resperator when I painted would recommend a disposable painting suit also which I did not use

came out pretty decent could do much better next time
Fun and good project.

And yes boat was toatlly covered when I painted

So how did the Mini Jet work for ya??????

The gun worked great. I had never painted before so I dont know how a budget gun feels but the Mini Jet sure made it easy. I still need to get a stand for can I order one from you?
