Leukemia Poker Run on the Chesapeake
Well, we finally made it home in the rain and managed to not break anything but are wet as all get out!! It was great to see alot of people from the area and abroad, hope to see everyone on the next one.
Here are just a few shots Deb and I were able to save from our really wet digital camera.

It was a great run all in all. We had good weather on Saturday, even the sun came out. This morning, though, we had to follow another boat to find our way back to the boat ramp. The smaller boats were literally flying through the air. We could have gotten some great pictures, if it wasn't so wet. I thought it was a blast! For us, the rain was more of a killer than the bay. We got pummeled a few times. Next time I am going to wear a motorcycle helmet like our guide wore. It looked pretty comical, but definitely practical.

Gee I guess I should say "Your welcome", but now your making fun of my helmet
Diane makes me wear it when I get drinking hard too
It turns out we had really good timing since some people had to caome back in really crappy weather
Good to see you too John, sorry we couldn't hook up for a drink, but it was pretty crazy at all the stops. Thanks to Steve and Lisa from Vera's, they did a really great job taking care of us and raised some serious scratch for the Leukemia Society.
I'm telling you, try a helmet in the rain, you never go bare headed again

I brought my helmet along this weekend and it was the best $ I have ever spent!! I seen they were calling for rain and knew better. Bill Proctor made fun of me but I dont care. Everyone else had to stop or slow down to a craw, me, Deb and Les just kept on gett'n it. I looked over at Dick Roeder in Maximus and he had all his air flaps up blocking the rain a little bit on his boat.Fun weekend but a very very wet Sunday!! Everyone will be busy drying out boats for a week or two.
