Default New Fountain 32 Lightning coming in September 07

I heard there is a totally redesigned 32 Lightining coming our way this September.
Here is what I was told:
2008 Fountain 32 Lightining
Positive Lift Twin Step Hull
New Style Cockpit Interior
New Style Cabin
WAY more Freeboard than the OLD 32 Fever
WAY more Cabin room than the OLD 32 Fever

It is supposed to be the same as the NEW 35 Lightining minus 3 feet. They took out 18" From the engine room because it is not a staggered setup. They also took out about 6" in the cockpit and 12" from the deck.
This should be a great boat that will be super fast with 496 Mag HO's.
I can't wait to see it!!

Sounds interesting. I'm all for the new cockpit design if it's anything like the new 38's.
More freeboard is good. Always one of my dislikes, but it makes for the sleekness of the 32. So a trade off.

I fail to see where Fountain will gain any more room though, other than head room. The 32 just doesn't have any extra room to sacrifice.

I agree.....they should NOT mess with the cockpit unless they intend to make it bigger, or taller. Who the hell wants to overnight on a 32?

Sounds like it should be a neat ride. I like the idea of more freeboard. I wonder what Reggies estimated speeds will be with this hull.. ? Jamie / Lakeside

When you sit in a new 35 Lightning the boat feels ENORMOUS compared to the 35 Executioner. The cabin is so much larger and more usable.
I think the NEW 32 will feel much bigger than the OLD 32 because of the 12"'s or so of additional freeboard.
Fountain has that NEW v-berth in the 35 Lightning that converts from a lounge to an extended bed via hydraulics. I believe this will be carried over to the NEW 32 Lightning. It is really a great idea if you ever do overnight on the 32. PLUS with the added freeboard there may be a nice sized enclosed head as well.

Rock On!!!!

When the hell is this new boat going to show up on the website? Will it be a staggered set up like all the other lightnings, or a side by side like the ex's? I cannot imagine a back seat with a staggered set up. Would be like my little 27' cockpit.

So the cockpit is going to be smaller than the new staggered 35s? Thats getting pretty damn small. Other than that it sounds great.
