Default what is all this worth? a pile of BBC and TRS stuff...

This guy has this from his kid and does not know alot about these parts, here is what I saw myself, I figure I would go through and use the 2 engines, sell off all the other stuff, all the little stuff would sell on ebay or here.

2 engines, rebuilt 8 yrs ago and one was on a dyno, supposedly made 473hp.

They have TRW L-2465 pistons I found out they are .30 over forged, noit sure on crank, rods, and mains yet, I am hoping 4 bolt and steel rods/crank, I will pull the pans if I get very serious about buying them.
Merlin heads that were brand new when installed, not sure on any specs but they are Merlins. Pushrods look aftermarket, Rockers look like Comp cams, one set was taken off one engine, Holley single plane intakes, I looked in every cylinder with a light and they have no rust, they were inside until this year, now under tarps on a trailer.

One is a longblock that was totally rebuilt but then got wet, it has oval port heads and not sure on internals yet, I assume a 330 engine.

Has another shortblock, 4 bolt main not sure on the rest yet, block is good as core for sure.

2 holley vacuum secondary carbs, not sure what size.

2 Labbed 23P cleaver props

some misc exhaust stuff, there are 2 big risers that match to 4" pipes, never saw them before, anyone know what they are? (see pic)

2 TRS transom assemblys, 4 TRS rams, 2 transmissions and bell housings, flywheels, I think 4 of them, starters, alternators, all kinds of crap all over, maybe some good stuff, bennett tabs, bennett tab pump.

not trying to be rough, but that stuff looks tough, junk yards paying big $ right now, good luck j ps looks like old lightning tail pipes/props are your best asset. maybe the intake and merlin heads are worth a few $'s.

Well a complete BBC with merlin heads HAS to be worth atleast a grand, 500 for the other long block, a couple of tr assemblies ect.... It's worth a few grand ...just my WAG.

Looks like 90% is rusted and junk. Most of the TRS stuff is probably no good or needs rebuilt. Most of its not worth messing with IMO.

The only thing I would even think about would be the engine with the merlin heads.

I think that exhaust stuff you don't recognize is the MerCruiser 420 stuff from the late 1980s. It was a disaster and Merc. went to the Gil Offshore system.

Most of that stuff has only core value, so low-ball your offer. You may be throwing much of it away.

There is 2 engines complete with the Merlin heads, I am not sure what to do, I though the BBC stuff would sell OK, get some money back on some of the small stuff also, I can get it all for 2600.00. I figured the 2 engines are worth that in parts, then I have the other 2 blocks to sell and alot of small stuff, I guess maybe it is not that great of a buy, I thought it was.

Offer him a grand for the whole shootin' match.

The MercTrans may be valuable to a rebuilder like SpeedMasters, Inc.
Those carbs are obsolete automotive carbs, again possibly worth something to a carb rebuilder.
The 420 exhaust is scrap metal.
Those trim rams can be rebuilt, primed and painted and be worth some bucks.
That starter with the rusty end is a Chrysler automotive starter, (core).
Those TRS outer transom plates probably look worse than they are. Getting harder and harder to find too.

Have fun if you decide to go through with this transaction. however, I think $2,600 is double what you should pay.

Good luck.
