Cool boat but they need to lose that tribal design. It looks like those bad tattoos everyone got on their arms in the early 90's!

When Dean gets stuck on a design he tends to paint all his boats with they same theme. The flame boats were his last creation, then the dagger/sword design before that.

haha. I still see lots of those. arms, legs, etc. I think it looks pretty good on these boats though.

There are always trends in paint schemes and colors. Would you tell Harley Davidson, Orange County Choppers or Jessie James that they need to come up with something new, or are they cheasy too? Dean takes owners thoughts and ideas and brings them to life. I wouldn't want any other signature on my boat.

Dean was great until about 06 when he went exclusive with OL. He did some phenomenal Cigs when he painted for them.
Some OL's have been great (billet.com boat) but when he gets stuck on a theme it stays around too long.

Some not so great schemes IMO:
http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o18130-en.html Flames
http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o23605-en.html Tribal crap

http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o13049-en.html Just a mess!

Cig had a few bad years with the Ronald McDonald colors that continued into the interiors as well but I think when you have one designer/painter your boats can get stuck in a rut for longer periods of time since there is no other competition from other artists.
