Question Places that do chrome

I have a few things that I would like to re-chrome . I`m getting quotes from $50-150 per piece!

Anyone have a place that`s reasonable or is this the norm now?

Al's polishing shop in Ohio. I live in Maryland and have been using them for years.

Unfortunately this is the norm now. Advanced playing in Nashville is the best around you will pay for it but it will be perfect. We have used them in several car builds

Thats the average price for a good process. Copper, Nickel, & Chrome 5 layer total will get a brilliant finish. Cheaper can be done but will flake much sooner like the cleats in your pic.

Al's is pretty good they are just a few miles from me and those prices are certainly within line, 100-150 each range. Theres actually a lot of finish work in older worn pieces. I have literally had hundreds possibly thousands of pieces chromed and the best i have used was Fini Finish up in Detroit but i dont believe they are still around.

Website is still up and they were still plating a couple years ago when I had some saddlebag latches done. I’ll look next time I get north of 8 Mile.

Dan, those prices actually seem pretty good, I have a lot of chrome work done each year with the classic cars we restore and I can tell you from what I see that's not bad!
As said a few posts back the EPA has killed the plating industry, and forced the remaining venders to raise pricing to stay compliant..
