Rik,
Heard someone in California was doing this to 382 with big power (800+ H.P.). Have been curious to hear how this worked out. Have you had any experience with Max Machine Worx in Havasu? Just found that I have twisted vertical and prop shafts in my 382 that used to have 950 H.P. blower motors in it.

The boat is a customer's boat. He is totally happy with this package now that he feels confident that the boat will live.
The boat has a set of 800 HP Teague engines and the boat has hit 105 in early testing and there is more in it as they are on the rev limitors.

You really think so? When that 'bird goes by at 105+, I bet it will be more than just their pants that will be wet!

Blake, sorry I took a while to get back to you. The arch was on the boat when I bought it and it comes in handy for the light and antennas. I am sure it doesn't help me at 90+, I thought of taking it off for a test but too much work.

The "Bayport" colors...nice choice! Which graphic and level? It's been a long time since they did the red/yellow that's in Bayport with the blue. There is a '89/'90 311 up around here that has that red/yellow (mostly red) with the standard black 3rd color. The boat is mint and quite stunning!

Rippem,
Its Bayport #3, which is Red, Yellow and Blue. Looking forward to seeing how the 525's perform. We just missed seeing it in the tank because it is about 10 days ahead of schedule. Should close on it next week.

I just thought that the boat would probably look a little better without it!

There is not that large of a "Rooster Tail" with this boat using a set of Herring propellers. Absolutely nothing compared to a cat with or without Arneson's.
I would guess the tail is about three feet tall at speed, you can easily see over and around it as we were watching the other boats try and catch us.
Now the Merc props seem to throw a higher rooster but nothing crazy.

I have an '89 with the same (basically) graphics. Lookin' good- are you in the sea, on a river, or on a lake in your airborne shot?

Here is a more recent picture of "Outlaw" with Deb, docked in the Hyatt Basin.
Am removing the silent thunder box in my exhaust swap over project with new six inch thru hulls. I like the clean transom look and have never liked the rectangular exhaust tips on the box.
Click on to enlarge the picture and it cleans up nicely.
