Default NGK BR6FS Socket Size

Needing to know if this is a standard size or smaller like 5/8. If it is standard anyone know a cross reference for the BR6FS. I have the Stainless Marine manifolds which make it about impossible to change the plugs without removing the manifolds. I heard that with a 5/8 plug I won't have any problems. I am able to get a 5/8 socket in there to change the plugs where I can't with a standard size. I got a 502.

Check our Sparkplugs.com - Great cross reference tool. Good prices too.

with the rubber the socket has to go stright on the plug, you can get a wobble efect without it .

Yea but you should always go straight on with a plug. Being off can break the porcelain or worse crack it without you noticing. If you find the rubber center too tight spray WD-40 in it and it will slip on and off easier but for goodness sake don't remove it.

Well I haven't changed a spark plug in more than 2 years. But I have sold maybe 20 sets installed .I teach my people to take the rubber out of the sockets they all agree it somtimes make the job easier when the manifold is in the way(smallblock Volvo). You guys should keep the rubber in the socket.
