i asked that question early in the apache thread although i confined my question to 41 and 47's and i believe the answer was something along the lines of 74 41's and 28 47's and remember thinking to my self that the 47 count seemed high just based on the number talked about. i can believe the 41 figure if you figure production was from 1984 to early 90's that would be something like 6-8 per year

That's a first number - great! Many thanks 'later'. I guessed they built more 41's... Someone once posted here on OSO they made 100 41's...

74 Apache 41's 1984-1993/4
28 Apache 47's (sounds a bit high for me too, maybe only 20...?)
55-60 Apache 28's 1988-1993 (In 1997 Cherokee did #68 out of
the original Apache Brave mold, so that should mean 55-60
original Apache 28's untill 1993 from this mold)
2 Open Apache 33's
3-5 Apache 33's
??? Apache 21/22's 1986-1993/4 (...maybe 40-60?)
??? Apache 36's (my uneducated guess would be 20-30...?)

These are the first numbers - can anyone fill in the missing numbers and/or correct the other ones...?

Any input is appreciated very much. I'm already amazed how many of you are looking at this thread - so this question seems to be of interest.

Default 36 APACHES

There are just over 100 36 that have been made, they build about 4 a year . Bobby said that 5 to 8 was his biggest year.

Nykamp I read this # - "100 Apache 36's" - on OSO in another thread too.

But I doubt this number very much. First: You have more 41's around than 36's. At least in Miami. So it should be much less than the 74 existing Apache 41's.

Mainly the numbers and your quote don't add up: If Bobby said "they built about 4 a year" just multiply it with 10 years (1988/9 - 1996/7).

That would be 40...Never 100. Just 40.

And this would make sense - when you consider that there are less much 36's than 41's around.

Something between 35 and say 45 ever built of the Apache 36 - as an indicator.

Does anyone have the exact number? Anyone from Apache reading this one day...?

Also I wonder: Does anyone know how many of the 74 Apache 41's are "Race" and how many are the "Pleasure"-Version?

Default Latest update

Exactly 75 Apache 41's were ever produced.

Exactly 20 Apache 47's and 50's were ever produced.

Plus: Exactly 9 Apache Cats were built, of which 3 were pleasure and 2 military.

About 10-12 Apache 21/22 (pre ! "Scout" model 1982-1986 - the Scout must have higher numbers) were built.

If anybody knows more numbers (for the 45, the 36, the 22 "Scout") please post them here. Many thanks!

Puder: the 33 open is still on boattrader.

http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/1/2/41087112.htm

That would be a nice hobby, starting to "collect" Apaches... Cheaper than a harem (your idea) for sure...

Later: I got the numbers from the "Monster" thread "Apache what's in a name"...I read it for 10 hours. The number for the cats came from I think Craig Barry - he knows. The number 75 + 20 seem to be very likely to be correct too. They even knew that one 41 was titled double. So very likely that's the number.

Like you I'd really like to know how many 41's were the race-version. I think it will be less than half and definately more than 20 (just remember all the famous names!). So between 20... and ...35. This is really just a guess, nothing more.

All in all - all models counted - the number of Apaches will be around 210-235. Compare this to way over 2000 built Cigarettes...
