Looking good man!!! I bet your getting excited!!
Did you ever find an injector yet????

What about hp.. what power level do you expect to see? Will your injectors support that much horsepower?

Mr. Gadgets -

Yes I found an actual Lucas distributor tha recognized the part numbers and has a few injectors coming in Wed. We'll flow them and try to get me a better matched set. Thanks for your and everyones help in trying to locate one!!

I should be fine with the flow if I bump up my fuel pressure.

I hope to see 625+ out of the motor. Its not that radical inside, JE Blower Pistons, JE Rods, mild Roller Cam, Roller Lifters, Crane Roller Rockers, Dart Heads, Imco Exhaust, M-1 Procharger (overhauled by the factory) and Intercooler. The pictures do not do this engine justice. Its really a metallic dark purple and matches the wire looms perfectly!!!

I need to get my ignition module from my boat, which is in storage before I dyno, so I'm waiting for some snow to melt this week!!!! Maybe get to the dyno next week.

Looks like she about ready to breath fire. Nothing better than the roar of a new engine. 625 shouldn't be to hard to hit with that setup. How much boost are you planning on running?
Good news Pantera, warmer weather is on its way later this week!

Running 5# boost. I want reliable power if thats possible. Over 625 would be an added bonus.

60 Degrees this weekend, if the lake wasn't frozen, I'd be out there!!!! Panteras love the waves, but I'm sure they're not fond of the ice!

I'll have completed pictures this weekend.

Anyone else care to post there winter engine projects?

If I had a project going, I would post'em. It is great to watch all you guy's get yours built. Thanks for takin the time to post pictures and keeping us posted on whats happening. It helps me get my fix of HP engines. Maybe in the next year or two I can build a new motor ( or get a new boat, I'm working on the finacial adviser((wife)))
Pantera, you should be pretty busy this weekend, but the ice will be gone in a month and you will be testing, with a big smile on your face. It's been alot of work, but it's worth it. If it wasn't for stuff like this I would probably just be a drunk. I think 625 should be no problem. Did you get any warmer weather yet? If not it's on its way.

It is a documented fact that purple engines make less horsepower. Something about the pigment in purple paint and thermodynamics........... Ask Bill at Ateco about blowing the muffler system off his dyno. At six grand the muffler system was knocked off the stand on my engine. Scared the heck out of us. Those mufflers are straight through with 6" pipe! Have fun and think about painting that engine lime green

Default Lime Green?

Real men have large purple engines....

If you blew the pipes off wouldn't that indicate that you had too much power??? I'll have to verify your power by going for a ride in that awesome beast of a boat you have.

If anyone else would like to see a real test of owners patience and a meticulous interior project on Brads boat go to:

http://www.scaryfast.com/Homepage.htm

The project was completed by Brad and Jeff Baker of Baker Marine. Pretty scary when the mechanic is standing in your new boat with a sawzall!!!! But look at the results.

I hope to install a rear view mirror in my boat to keep an eye on Brad!!!!

Just kidding.

Hey Brad, did you see the 2002 Oshkosh Thunder Run Video? There's great footage of your boat in action.

2 highlights:
- The start... WOW!!
- 4th card stop hole shot with sound...Yeahhh!

Mark Lee has them available.
