Thumbs up KILO Record - Smoke On The Water - Grand Haven, Mi

Did you catch the news? It's official! The A.P.B.A will be sanctioning the first kilo event to be held at the Smoke On The Water Poker Run June 6th & 7th in Grand Haven, Michigan. David Scott, Dave Callan and David Woods are already planning to make the attemp for the record.
Not only will I enjoy the weekend particpating in the poker run, but I will get to see some of the fastest boats around.
I'm interested in knowing who else is attending this year so please post a reply if you will be there or know who is.
Check out the web site @ Smoke On The Water Poker Run and see video and pictures from previous years.
Hope to see you there.
Peace.... Tom

I thought they were going to run on Muskegon Lake, not Lake Michigan.

Why is the Kilo starting so late? There are a number of boats that want to run and may need to make adjustments. Starting at 3:00 PM is aweful late. There are teams travelling a long way at great expense to do this. When we did our Kilo with the Callan boat in Sarasota last December we started at 7 AM. If you have the sanction for the whole day why not use it?
