Default I finally get it.

Wow, ran a 38 Top Gun on Friday for a while and I finally see why a Cig is a Cig. This was a fairly mild boat with stock HP500 EFI's but it ran like a dream and absolutely crushed the waves. I would have sworn it was 4-5 feet longer. Never could figure out why all you guys would put up with all the extra weight compared to some other boats but my eyes are finally opened

Now I want one....bad

Wait till you run in big stuff with other boats present.
My son sleeps in the cabin while others are to busy pasting a look of terror on their faces running in the big stuff in those lighter faster rigs!

You know that there are alot of guys that run real fast in the river or on the lake, but rarely do I get beat in big water. (with the exception of Sean in his 46 Skater!!) I really think that the advantage in rough water is huge.....
