Morse throttles - can lever positions be changed?
#1
I have the morse controls with throttle levers in the 2 & 3rd slots and the forward/reverse levers in positions 1 & 4, I'm thinking it would be nice to have the throttles in positions 3 & 4, can this be done? Anyone recommend against going to this setup?
Thanks!

I'd leave them as they are---it makes it a lot more Logical and less prone to error when reversing ot turning with gear and throttles--
I've had this arrangement you now have on 60's, 50's and now a 37--
FWIW--my .02

Guess the small handle being all the way right is a little cumbersome to get to with the larger throttle handles being in the way.
Thought if it's possible to move them, I'd give it a try and see how it works. I do agree with you that it's a no brainer as to which one is which with the way they are set up.
Thanks for your insight!

To answer your basic question--I've got Livorsi levers and they can be be re-configured--takes a while (and a fair amount of RUM)--I'm not familiar with teleflex but if I had to guess I'd say it's doable. THese guys all pretty much copy each other in functionality.

The morse levers can be rearranged. They can also be reversed. Once you pull the assembly out and disconnect the cables, disassembly is pretty easy. Just watch out for the little ball bearing and spring. That will go flying if you're not ready. It's used on both the throttle and shifter. If your throttle ratchets, then it's in there. If not, then somebody already left it out.
