Default Outboard question -- Verados

I was told by an outboard mech that the three biggest Verados are all the same engine, and the only differences between them would be in the amount of boost and the fuel programming. Any truth to this???

So, could a rather unscrupulous boater buy the 225's for insurance purposes and turn them up to 275?

The Opti's just might, but that trail of oil smoke behind them...

The Verado's are heavy, but the offshore fishing folks here in Miamuh are running the crap out of em. Durability issues have been zero.. Performance numbers are sweeet. Fuel economy is excellent. The E-tecs arent out there enough yet to tell. Looks like a great effort, and the weight savings is substantial. If they perform and hold up, Bomb may have a winner, particulary with the folks repowering from older two strokes....

E-Tec or Yamaha, the Verado is over priced scrap.

E.K. He has Verado school scheduled later in the year.

I heard you sold the Mystique. Saw it on the GCO website. What are you getting next?
