I have a ugly beat fountain name in large decals across my windscreen. They are in bad shape and I want to remove them. Can you use a heat gun on a plexiglass windscreen or a solvent? Laquer thinner did nothing. The letters are about 18 inches high and it covers the whole windscreen.
Any idea's?

Just finished same thing on my Donzi . My 8 year old son spent 2 hours picking it off 1 piece at a time , he wanted to do it.. In the past I have used a hair dryer and an old credit card to take them off

If you use a heat gun keep the distance and never stop moving. You might try a black tarp in the sun for a few minutes. You may need to refinish/polish the whole thing when you're done anyway. There are some good plastic polishers on the market.

I have removed many decals and the heat gun will soften it right up and come right off. Just watch the distance of the gun, keep it moving and don't get it too close. I wouldn't bother with all the chemicals and solvents.
