Where to boat in Ft. Lauderdale general area?

I am relatively new to the area. Only been out a couple times so far. Places I know are Shooters, Monty's, Las Olas Waterfront (well by land anyways).
Where are some other places to go? Beaches you can pull up to, restaraunts, whatever. Name your favorites please!
Also we are looking to be out either this Saturday. or Sunday 4/9-10. Wouldn't mind hooking up with some people too to do some boating and fun

You can go inside of Hillsboro Inlet. Some people throw the hook there. Then you can run up to Boca Inlet and go inside to Lake Boca. You can also run up to Lake Worth Inlet and goto Peanut Island. Down south, you can run down to Haulover Inlet. Inside is a sandbar people hang out there. Finally, a lot of people run down to Elliot Key. Your best to approach Elliot from Biscayne Bay as you need a skinny boat to do it from Ocean side.
