Yeah, it kind of surprised me. Don emailed me and stated that he wanted to wait a few days for the ill feelings on the speed thread to die down before he posted it. That made sense to me, just wish he'd let me known that reasoning. Would have saved me a few points on the old blood pressure.
I'm asking all of "us" NOT to get into a pissing contest on that Thread. I would appreciate it if some of you would add something positive backing up the thread, but if a weenie states some nonsense please respond with dignity. I don't expect to change anyone's mind over there, but I want us to represent ourselves with the utmost grace. Thanks. Russ
p.s. anybody know what a "blog" is?????

Just read some of that stuff over there...
A couple comments
- "Live Free or Die"---Doesn't look like it.
- Speed limits on a Lakes are marginaly enforcable at best.
- Boy am I glad I'm on Lake Champlain, I bet we have as many wackjobs as that but the size of the Lake thin's them out.

Yeah, to enforce a speed law on the water, the boat with the radar gun in it has to be stationary. Not floating along with the wind, running along side you, etc... Pretty much has to be tied to a dock. Lots of factors involved in getting a true speed reading for boats on the water. Everything is moving... even the water. Very hard to enforce, and easy to fight.
