I've only had this boat a year and it was winter or being rebuilt most of this time. I have a fairly high pitched whine that starts around 4000 RPM. I run the reg old power steering pump on one motor only and 2 Alts./2 Water pumps. Obviously I can remove one or both Alts to find. I have tightened the ----- out of the SW and PS belts and it doesn't go away. I know you guys can't hear it but useing your vast experience what do you think the most likely source/fix would be. Belt?Bad PS pump? I'm guessing either belt on PS or the unit itself. I have another unit that was idle on the other motor but I guess I should go to Auto Zone and swap it for a new one before I switch . Did I just answer my own question???Thanks

Spend $2.95 on a spreay can of belt dressing and see if that takes care of it.
