I never made it to the lake, but I did boat on the Missouri river over the weekend. It's hard to tell exactly how fast you're going on the river with GPS and the 6-7 mph current, but hole shot and mid-range was much improved. If I were to guess, I picked up about 5-6 mph at 3400-3500 rpm, which was my main goal, so the Hydro's lived up to their expectations. With the 4 blade Bravo's I had to really work the throttles getting on plane to keep them from blowing out, but with the 5 blade hydro's I just dropped the throttles and the boat rolled right over with no play, that was a big bonus.

Yes, I have 30p Bravo's, so I went with 29p Hydro's. Again, GPS speeds are very inaccurate on the river. The true test will be on a lake that's not flowing. Also, there wasn't very many other boats on the river so it's like glass, which adds considerable drag. Give the Daytona a foot chop and I'm sure she'll run quite a bit faster. I'll post the lake results when I'm able to get down there.
